Ayuntamiento de Manila, Intramuros

The Ayuntamiento, situated at the central district of Intramuros in Manila, has served as a home for various governmental agencies and activities since its opening in 1607. Its nickname, the Marble Palace, comes as no surprise since its original interiors were decked with marble imported from Italy. However, natural disasters tore down the place for a number of times, causing it to undergo reconstructions and restorations—all in attempt to preserve the heritage it upholds to make it the regal beaut it is today.
