One of the oldest festivals in the Philippines, the Peñafrancia Fluvial Procession in Bicol is an enduring feast in honor of the province’s patroness, Our Lady of Peñafrancia. As a tradition, an image of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia shall be carried by devotees as it traverses the Naga River while witnesses of the fluvial procession shall wave their white handkerchiefs as they say their personal prayers.
