MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 18, 2021 — In the third and final cycle of the FilmPhilippines Incentives Program for 2020, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chose one grantee of the Film Location Incentive Program (FLIP) and two awardees of the International Co-production Fund (ICOF).
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, DECEMBER 28, 2020 — The FilmPhilippines Office (FPO) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will usher in the new year by providing local and international filmmakers with more production opportunities through the FilmPhilippines Incentive Programs.
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, DECEMBER 14, 2020 — In order to support partnerships between the Philippines and fellow member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) through its FilmPhilippines Office (FPO) has launched the ASEAN Co-production Fund (ACOF).
The FDCP brought to the forefront not only the Filipino film industry but Asian Cinema as well during two key events held during the 25th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea: the Philippine Cinema Night and Screen Talk: Asian Production Bounces Back.
On a night centered around the celebration and excellence of Philippine Cinema at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) introduced its latest program, the ASEAN Co-Production Fund (ACOF), formed to further strengthen the Philippine Film Industry through international collaborations with neighboring countries in the ASEAN region.
Four international productions, with two shot in the Philippines and another two co-produced with a Philippine company, are the first recipients of incentives from the FilmPhilippines Office (FPO) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Pre-production and project development will now be covered by the Qualified Philippine Production Expenditure (QPPE) for both the FLIP (Film Location Incentive Program) and the ICOF (International Co-production Fund) programs beginning August 2020. Project development (script development, location scouting, pre-production, etc.) can now be included, in addition to the usual coverage for production and post-production (including animation and VFX). Submissions of application for Cycle 2 of the FLIP and the ICOF will be accepted until July 31, 2020.
